Mr. Broumas received his initial work experience at the Wall Street law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy where he spent three years and subsequently at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, one of the preeminent law firms in the United States. Prior to opening his own practice Mr. Broumas was an equity shareholder at the prestigious regional law firm Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver where he was the head of the bankruptcy section for seven years.

Mr. Broumas has been a practicing attorney for more than 25 years. After graduating from the University of Utah in 1978 he attended law school in upstate New York at Syracuse University College of Law where he graduated in 1981. After law school Mr. Broumas was appointed Law Clerk to the Honorable Thomas James, a Bankruptcy Judge in Chicago Illinois.

       J Michael Broumas has had comprehensive experience in all aspects of business reorganization and insolvency including the handling of extremely complicated Chapter 11 Bankruptcy cases for major national corporations. Mr. Broumas’ experience has included the representations of creditors and debtors and creditors committees in business reorganization cases.

The firm has had experience in handling small business bankruptcy cases as well as consumer bankruptcy matters under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. J Michael Broumas has also been one of the few Maryland attorneys who have experience handling Chapter 12 Family Farmer Cases.

J Michael Broumas has extensive experience handling matters in State court including divorce, custody, division of marital property, accident cases and other litigation matters.

       Olga Zavialova has extensive experience in the financial management and business turn-around area. As a Senior Financial Controller at Lift Off Distribution LLC, the distributor of Red Bull energy drink Ms. Zavialova was in charge of Financial restructuring and internal reorganization of the business turning a business with substantial losses into a very profitable enterprise within a period of two years. Ms. Zavialova was also Controller at Sumitomo Corporation, Kiev office.

Prior to joining Broumas Law Group Olga Zavialova owned and operated her own company providing accounting, bookkeeping, project management and business planning services to small and mid-size enterprises. Ms. Zavialova assisted numerous clients in financial distress by providing business planning and turn-around management services.

Ms. Zavialova is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland. Ms. Zavialova has Master of Business Administration from Kiev State University of Economics where she graduated with Honors in 1996.
